The Dolphins had a lot to say when looking at artifacts of antiquity in their History lesson on Ancient Islamic Civilisations. We compared the the Al-Idrisi map from the Golden Age of Islamic Civilisation with a modern map. We asked, what can maps tell us about the people who made them? We turned the map upside down and noticed that it has many accurate features of a modern map of Europe. We decided that his is good evidence of just how sophisticated the Islamic Civilisation was at that time. What other questions might a historian ask about Islamic Civilisation?
