After a practice, our confidence and enjoyment of speaking for an audience shone through. Our presentations were very impressive! As a good audience, we took notes and asked questions about meaning or challenging each other to give a little bit more information. Afterwards, we discussed ways in which propaganda can be compared to fake news. Some people said it is a little bit like fake news because the good points are emphasied and exaggerated to give a one-sided view. However, others argued that whereas fake news is based on lies, propaganda just minimises certain aspects. We talked about how, in WW2, people were being called to action by the posters to help the war effort.
